How it works

First, connect your Kindle: enter its email address and approve DropKind as a sender in your Amazon settings. We’ll guide you through each step. You only need to do this once.

  • EPUB conversion uses PDF credits. Credits are used only after the file is created and delivered.

Questions & Answers

Why not just use Amazon's free Send to Kindle?
If the file is already on your computer, use it — it's free and it works. DropKind is for everything else — web pages fetched and cleaned before they reach your Kindle, a browser extension that sends articles open in your browser, and research papers reflowed into a real EPUB instead of a shrunken page. (Amazon's own help page warns that documents with columns, tables or math “may look messy” — with papers, they do.) Plus Telegram, the iOS share sheet, and a delivery status for every send.
How do I connect my Kindle?
After you sign in, DropKind will show you where to find your Kindle email address and how to add our address to the approved senders on Amazon’s website. Then you can send articles and documents.
What file formats work?
We support web links (article content extracted automatically), documents (PDF, EPUB, DOC, and other Kindle-supported formats), and Markdown or plain text. Articles are cleaned up for Kindle. PDFs can be sent unchanged or converted to reflowable EPUBs using PDF credits.
Is my content private?
We share your content only with trusted service providers needed to process and deliver it—for example, document conversion or OCR providers, our email delivery provider, and Amazon's Send-to-Kindle service. We don't sell your content or use it for advertising.
Does it work with Kindle apps?
Yes! Content sent through DropKind appears in your Kindle library, which syncs to all your devices—including the Kindle app on iPad, iPhone, Android, and desktop.
Is DropKind free?
The free plan includes 20 deliveries a month for articles, links and documents, including unchanged PDFs. Plus and Pro subscriptions add more monthly deliveries and PDF conversion credits.
